We admit it...it's easy to get a little negative this time of year! When every day on the extended forecast shows temperatures that are below zero, it can be hard not to see the light at the end of the tunnel. So we thought we'd take a minute to say "thanks" to two businesses whose actions made life a bit more pleasant over the last few weeks.
The best part about the weather we've been having is that it gives us all something to talk about.
Granted, most of this involves complaining or expressing shock at just how long this crazy cold snap is continuing. And beyond that, it's giving many folks a great excuse to either relive the great trip they just had to a warmer climate, or to talk excitedly about their upcoming excursion (again, to somewhere warm!) scheduled in the next few weeks.
If you’re like many people, you may find it a little overwhelming when you start shopping for linens. There are so many different terms…what do they all mean? Here is a quick rundown of the many words that you may come across when shopping for your new bedding:
Bed Skirt – a decorative fabric that fits between the mattress and box spring. Also called a dust ruffle, it hangs to the floor to cover the box spring and legs of the bed. A bed skirt was traditionally one piece of fabric that made to lie across the entire box spring and hang to the floor on the three sides of the bed; however, many modern bed skirts are now made of three separate panels which are pinned around the sides of the bed into the mattress or box spring.
